Welcome to TRI Community Exchange |
|
TRI Community Exchange Inc (TRI) is an innovative and progressive organisation which has been in operation since 1992. It was initiated under the auspice of Penrith City Council and was managed, as it is now, by a committee comprised of representatives from the community and a range of service providers. TRI became separately incorporated in 1993.
Originally established as one of eleven Family Resource Centres under a Federal Labor Government program. TRI currently continues through various programs to provide training, resources, information and support to community agencies and government departments for the benefit of the communities and families they serve.
TRI as an organisation has remained committed to social justice principles, advocacy for the community services sector and responses to issues arising in services and local areas.
Vision
TRI Community Exchange aims to be the peak resourcing body for community organisations in the Nepean area. We lead and resource agencies in Information Technology (IT) development across NSW. TRI is committed to access and equity and social justice. We encourage a dynamic and responsive community sector by resourcing, developing and sustaining strong partnerships and projects.
Mission
TRI Community Exchange provides training, resources, information and support to the community services sector in Penrith, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains and NSW for IT services. We work collaboratively with agencies to increase community sector participation in processes that promote social justice in the Nepean area.
